DAVID PLUNK
is the
Hallsville ISD Athletic Director
and head football coach.
He received a B.S.E. and M.E.
from Stephen
F. Austin
University, attended Kilgore College,
and graduated from Kilgore High
School in 1986. David
has been
in Hallsville 10 of his 15 years of
coaching and previously held
the offensive coordinator position
at Cooper High School. Prior
to that he also held coaching
positions at Grand Saline High
School
and Elkhart High School
as the defensive coordinator.
Coach Plunk was broadcast as
"The
Coach who Makes a
Difference" through Texas Cable
Telecommunication Association
in 2004. David
and his wife, Kelly,
have three sons, Kyle, age 9,
John David, age 7, and Jack, age 2.
When not coaching football,
David's favorite pastimes include
playing
golf and spending time
with his family.
