CHERYL BELL is a 1985 graduate of Hallsville High School and earned her B.S. at Southern Arkansas University where she was a member of the volleyball team.  Cheryl is starting her 20th year at HHS and has been the head volleyball coach for the last 17 years. Her volleyball teams have had 15 consecutive play off seasons during her tenure including a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP in 2006 and District Co Champs in 2007 and 2008.  She has been selected Coach of the year in 1994, 1995, 2006 and 2008. She has been honored to receive the ROSE award in 1995 and the Rotary Award in 2001 as well as several BOBCAT PRIDE awards.  She was selected as the ALL EAST TEXAS COACH OF THE YEAR in 2006.  She married her high school sweetheart in March 1992 and they have one child, Miss AEREAL ELEASE, a fourth grader at Hallsville Elementary. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending church, shopping, and laughing loud!

JENNIFER MCDANIEL is a fourth year coach at Hallsville ISD as the JV Volleyball coach and girls’ head track coach. Jennifer is a graduate of Hallsville High School and Ouachita Baptist University, Arkansas. Jennifer is teaching World Geography and Government at the high school. She is married to Dean and enjoys spending time with family and friends, and running.

CHAKA JACKSON, a Hallsville High School graduate of the Class of 2000, is also a graduate of East Texas Baptist University where she was a two year volleyball lettermen and was honored at 1st Team All Conference in volleyball and she also served as a graduate assistant. She teaches E20/20 at Hallsville High School and is the varsity assistant volleyball and freshmen basketball coach. She has been teaching and coaching for five years, previously in Henderson ISD as head volleyball coach.   She has been selected as Distinguished Teacher and Who’s Who among American Teachers. Her husband, Jabori, teaches and coaches at Marshall High School. They have one daughter, Trinity, 2 months old and one son, Trent, 6 months.

BRIAN GREER is the coach of the 9th grade volleyball team and girls basketball assistant. Brian is a graduate of LeTourneau University and has been coaching 20 years. He teaches World History at the high school. He and his wife, Lori, have a daughter, Hannah, 11, and one son, Benjamin, 8.  He enjoys activities with his family, church and all sports.

KIM GIDEON is a graduate of Hallsville High School and East Texas Baptist University. Kim is beginning her 21nd year of coaching. In 1993 she led the Ladycat Volleyball team to state. Now at Hallsville Junior High School, Kim is the head volleyball coach and head girls’ track coach. She and her husband, Ron, have three children; Shelby, 19, Bailey, 18 and Ronnie, Jr. 15-years-old.

EMILY COX is a graduate of Pine Tree High School. She earned a BA in Speech Communication at UT Tyler and her teacher’s certificate through the PACT program at Letourneau University. Emily is a second year coach at Hallsville Junior High as 7th grade head volleyball coach, 8th grade assistant basketball coach and 7/8th grade track coach. She also teaches speech and health. Emily and her husband, Brad, have two children, Nolan, 7 and Abby, 5. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
